<p>The World Affairs Council – Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting our community to the world. For more than a century, we have brought global experiences to Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, fostering cross-cultural understanding and preparing individuals to thrive in an interconnected world.<br /> We serve as a local hub for international exchange, education, and dialogue. Through programs like the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), we host emerging global leaders from around the world, creating opportunities for meaningful, face-to-face exchanges with local professionals, educators, and community members. These connections spark collaboration, promote cultural diplomacy, and build lasting international relationships.</p> <p>Our K–high school global education initiatives bring the world into classrooms, equipping students with the knowledge and skills to become globally competent citizens. We connect educators with resources, provide cross-cultural workshops, and create hands-on learning experiences that inspire the next generation of leaders. We also engage the broader community through events, speaker series, and cultural celebrations—inviting residents to explore pressing global issues, discover diverse perspectives, and celebrate the many cultures that make up our region. Whether attending an International Women’s Day gathering, a panel on Russia or Crypto, or a cultural taste, participants leave with a deeper understanding of the world and their role in it.</p> <p>Our mission is simple but powerful: to connect people and organizations to global learning and exchange opportunities so they may become informed, engaged citizens of the world. We believe that building bridges of understanding—across borders, cultures, and ideologies—is essential for peace, prosperity, and a stronger community. By partnering with schools, universities, businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies, the World Affairs Council helps our region embrace its place in the global community. Together, we create opportunities for dialogue, understanding, and collaboration that extend far beyond our local borders.</p>
