Helping Northern Kentuckians Access Food During the Government Shutdown
The NKY Food Support Fund, created by Horizon Community Foundation, is providing immediate food assistance to local families, students, and neighbors affected by the ongoing government shutdown and disruption of federal SNAP benefits.
Mobilizing Quickly to Meet Urgent Needs
Horizon is activating the strong partnerships and proven systems established during the pandemic, when the NKY Coronavirus Relief Fund raised $2.1 million and helped more than 85,000 Northern Kentuckians in need. Those same trusted networks—with food pantries, schools, and funding partners—are being reengaged to ensure food reaches those who need it most, as quickly as possible.
The goal is simple: to get food resources into the hands of those who need them—efficiently, equitably, and with care.
