Northern Kentucky Children’s Advocacy Center Fund

The mission of the Northern Kentucky Children’s Advocacy Center (NKYCAC) is to provide a coordinated response to concerns of child abuse in a child-focused environment, offering evaluation, treatment, and prevention to children and families. NKYCAC serves children in Northern Kentucky under the age of 18 who are alleged victims or at risk of child sexual abuse, severe physical abuse, human trafficking, or who have witnessed violent crimes. In addition, NKYCAC provides supportive services for non-offending parents, caregivers, siblings, family members, and professionals throughout the Northern Kentucky Area Development District counties of Boone, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Owen, and Pendleton. NKYCAC works with law enforcement, the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, and prosecutors’ offices to facilitate a comprehensive approach to child abuse cases. It provides critical services free of charge, including forensic interviews, mental health treatment, medical evaluation, family advocacy, and coordination of investigations by the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT). Our MDT members include Commonwealth and County Attorneys, law enforcement, the FBI, Homeland Security, child protective services, medical professionals, and mental health therapists.
