Love Thy Neighbor Fund Announces $25,000 Matching Gift to Support Northern Kentucky Housing Solutions
Covington, KY — September 22, 2026 — The Love Thy Neighbor Fund, a philanthropic initiative powered by donor-advised funds at the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati, has committed a $25,000 matching gift to the NKY Home For All Fund at Horizon Community Foundation of Northern Kentucky, creating an opportunity for donors across the region to double the impact of their contributions toward addressing Northern Kentucky’s housing needs.
The matching gift means contributions to the NKY Home For All Fund will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $25,000, providing the potential for at least $50,000 in charitable support for housing-focused initiatives across Northern Kentucky.
The NKY Home For All Fund was established to generate charitable support for priority strategies identified through Northern Kentucky’s Home For All housing work. The regional effort grew out of research into Northern Kentucky’s housing supply and the challenges employers, families, older adults and communities face in finding housing that meets the region’s changing needs.
“This generous matching gift from the Love Thy Neighbor Fund is a powerful example of what it means to think regionally about the well-being of our neighbors,” said Nancy Grayson, President & CEO of Horizon Community Foundation. “Housing is foundational to a thriving community and economy. This investment not only provides critical resources for the work ahead, but gives others an opportunity to make their own generosity go twice as far.”
The NKY Home For All Fund supports the implementation of strategies designed to increase the availability and attainability of housing throughout the region. Early investments from the fund are helping support the operations of the NKY Housing Fund led by the Catalytic Fund, as well as housing initiatives led by Brighton Center and Brighton Properties.
Northern Kentucky’s Home For All work has brought together regional leaders and partners to move from understanding the region’s housing challenges to implementing solutions. Research underpinning the effort found gaps in housing options for workers across key industries, young adults forming their first households, older adults and others seeking housing that aligns with their needs and incomes.
“The Love Thy Neighbor Fund is committed to supporting organizations that are meeting our neighbors where the need is greatest,” said Jeff Goldstein, Program Coordinator at Love Thy Neighbor Fund at the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati. “The NKY Home For All Fund represents the kind of collaborative, community-driven work that can create lasting impact. We hope this matching gift makes caring contagious and inspires others throughout Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky to join us.”
The Love Thy Neighbor Fund regularly uses matching gifts to amplify charitable giving and support organizations serving vulnerable populations and addressing critical community needs throughout the Greater Cincinnati region.
